BAC Cow Sanctuary

The Project

To serve the pure native cows of Vrindavan from the time of Shri Krishn, Ocean of Devotion is creating a spacious sanctuary in the heart of Braj. As Braj Animal Care (BAC) we are striving to provide a clean haven, healthy food and medical treatment for these cows, we will help provide them with the love, care and peace that they deserve.

The Plight

Land that belonged to these animals is now occupied with buildings from over development. The docile cows are injected with hormones, making them produce more milk than they should. And when their milk eventually runs dry, they are left on the streets to fend for themselves. Sadly, many are also taken illegally to slaughterhouses in nearby cities. 

Our Vision

• To raise funds to procure one acre of land

• To build shelters on this land suitable for the pure breed cows of Braj

• To provide them with an organic and loving haven, healthcare, food and clean drinking water 

• To provide pure cow milk to the temples of Vrindavan for free

• To employ local villagers
